Many parishioners support Trenholm Road United Methodist Church through tithes, offerings, gifts, and service. Our congregation is generous and supportive. Most of those gifts are in “real-time” and occur while the parishioner is well and able to participate in worship service, church life, and mission work.
The TRUMC Foundation is designed to enable church members to continue giving to the church in perpetuity. Foundation donors are providing gifts that will be invested and continue to earn dividends that the Foundation will give back to the church.
Since its inception, the TRUMC Foundation has provided supplemental financial support for the programs and people that enhance the ministry of Trenholm Road United Methodist Church.
TRUMC’s congregation is relied upon to support the financial operations of the church. When special opportunities for outreach, mission work, or youth programs occur, the operating budget may not have the funds to engage.
The Foundation grants financial assistance to programs and causes that enhance the life of the church. The Foundation contributes annually to the Youth Salkehatchie mission trip, with most of the funding enabling youth from Epworth Children’s Home to participate in this life-changing community outreach.
Historically, the Foundation makes annual contributions for the special music programs that enhance our worship during the holidays.
Periodically the Foundation is asked to support capital improvement projects of the church.
The Foundation also has made significant contributions towards the continuing education of the clergy staff as they pursue advanced education in seminary.
The Foundation also contributes to other mission projects, both locally and outside of our community.
With so many special circumstances, the TRUMC Foundation’s support outside of the operating budget ensures the regular operations of the church can continue. Programs occur, people participate, lives are changed and the church is able to meet its regular financial commitments. The Foundation is a valuable part of TRUMC’s financial resources strategy.
TRUMC Foundation
